How it works now

Nowadays most companies have an ATS to manage their recruitment processes. A candidate who applies for a job will appear in the ATS after filling in a so-called application form. If you're working with an ATS, this is your current workflow:

  1. Candidate clicks on 'Apply';
  2. Application form (most of the time generated by the ATS) will appear where a candidate has to share some personal details, a resume and optionally a motivation letter;
  3. After finishing the application form, all information will be sent to the ATS.

When working with Equalture, we replace this application form. Why?
Well, simply because we want to collect other types of candidate information. In this article we will explain how our alternative works: the application flow.

How it works after integrating Equalture

When working with Equalture, this will be your candidate workflow:

Step 1. Candidates visits your career site and wants to apply.

We use the ATS Recruitee. In the picture shown above you see our job opening for Frontend Developer.

When clicking on the apply button, this will be the next step for a candidate.

Step 2. Candidate application form

Now the candidate is redirected to our branded Equalture environment.

When a candidate clicks on 'Register with LinkedIn', we are able to autofill some information concerning education or work experience which is public on LinkedIn.

Step 3. Application steps

After registering/logging in, our application flow starts. We are going to ask candidates things about different categories in order to creating a candidate matching profile. This is the replacement of the traditional resume.

Here you can see that for this job opening want to know more about a candidate's languages, professional skills, certificates, job experience and personality & cognitive skills (games). Because of the fact that we don't value education for this particular position, we won't ask a candidate about it.

All categories except from personality & cognitive skills will be (partly) autofilled based on a candidate's LinkedIn profile. The last category contains a set of neuro-assessment games.

Step 4. Finish the application

Once we've gathered all information we need (which will take 3-10 minutes, depending on the number of games in the application flow), a candidate is ready to apply.

Step 5. ATS Integration

The last step is to send this candidate to our ATS (Recruitee). In our ATS we can see a candidate's matching profile (the new resume)

So, that's it. From this point everything will continue just like you're used to.
